Privacy
This site collects only what you choose to send through a form, and the technical details any website receives. This page explains what that is, what happens to it, and your rights over it.
Who we are
This site, michaelhahnoc.com, belongs to Michael Hahn, a real estate salesperson licensed in California, CA DRE #02141502. His responsible broker is RealiFi Realty, Inc., CA DRE #02210728. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Michael.
The policy explains what personal information the site collects, what happens to it and the choices you have. It also covers the calls, emails and texts that follow a request you send. Other websites, including social media, have their own policies. If you become a client, the agreements and disclosures you sign for your sale or purchase also govern the information it needs.
Information you give us
You decide what to send. Each form asks for the following, and anything marked “Optional” can be left blank.
- Private consultation: your name and email address and, optionally, your phone number and a message.
- Home valuation request: the property’s address (and, optionally, its unit), your name and email address and, optionally, your phone number, your timeline and notes about the house.
- Trust and estate inquiry: your role (such as trustee, executor, heir or adviser), the property’s address, where things stand, your name and email address and, optionally, your phone number and a message.
If you call, email or text Michael, or message him on social media, he receives what you tell him along with your contact details. To prepare a valuation, he also looks up public and MLS records for the property you name, which can include its ownership and sale history.
Please don’t send sensitive information, such as Social Security, driver’s license, bank or card numbers, or health details, through a form.
Information collected automatically
Every request your browser makes to a website carries technical details: your IP address, your browser and device type, the page you asked for and the page that linked to it, and the date and time. Our host, Vercel, receives them and records some of them in its server logs.
These logs are used to deliver pages, protect the site from abuse and fix errors. We don’t use them to identify visitors or to build profiles. If a form request cannot be emailed, the request itself is kept in these logs so that Michael can still recover and answer it.
When an area page shows current listings from the MLS, each listing’s photograph loads from the MLS data provider’s servers, which receive the same kind of technical details from your browser.
Films from YouTube
Films on the Insights, area and home valuation pages come from Michael’s YouTube channel. Until you press play, each one is only a picture stored on this site, and nothing is requested from YouTube.
When you press play, the film loads from YouTube (Google) in its privacy-enhanced mode. From then on Google receives your IP address and browser details, and may store cookies or similar data in your browser, under Google’s privacy policy. The “Watch on YouTube” links take you to YouTube itself.
How we use it
- To reply to your request and give you what you asked for, such as a valuation.
- To follow up by call, email or text about your request and about real estate services, as you agree when you send a form.
- If you become a client, to carry out your purchase or sale.
- To keep the records Michael and his broker must keep, and so that his broker can supervise his work.
- To run the site, keep it secure, stop spam and abuse, and fix problems.
- To comply with the law and respond to lawful requests, and to protect the rights, safety and property of you, Michael and others.
Your information is never used to decide your eligibility for housing, credit, insurance or employment, and no decision that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you is made by automated means.
Text messages
If you give your phone number in a form, you agree that Michael may text you about your request and about real estate services. Texts can include replies, scheduling and updates you ask for.
Agreeing to texts is not a condition of buying or selling property, or of any other purchase. The phone number is optional on every form, and you can always call Michael instead.
- How often: message frequency varies with your request.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply. Your wireless provider can tell you what your plan includes.
- To stop: reply STOP to any text. You may get one last text confirming that you have opted out, and then no more. To start again, tell Michael or send a form with your number.
- For help: reply HELP, or call (949) 402-3411.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your phone number and your consent to receive texts are never shared with anyone for their own marketing.
Michael answers requests from his own email account. To stop emails from him, reply and say so, or call (949) 402-3411.
Any newsletter or other marketing email will include an unsubscribe link, and an unsubscribe request will be honored within 10 business days. Messages about a transaction you are part of may continue after you opt out of marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the reasons in this policy, or longer where the law requires it.
- Your request and your correspondence with Michael: as long as needed to reply, follow up and keep a normal record of the conversation. If you become a client, the agreements and documents of your listing, purchase or sale are kept for at least three years from the closing (or from the listing date, if no sale closes), as California requires of real estate brokers (Business and Professions Code section 10148).
- Copies held by Resend, our email delivery service: 30 days, after which Resend deletes them.
- Our host’s server logs, including any request whose email failed to send: the period our hosting plan keeps them, no longer than 30 days.
When you ask us to delete your information, Michael removes it from his email and records, and the copies held by the companies named above run out within the periods listed. Michael keeps a one-line note of your name and the date you asked, so that you are not contacted again by mistake. Ask, and he will not keep that note either. Information the law requires us to keep, such as transaction records, is kept until that duty ends.
Security
The site is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Forms are checked on our server, the keys to our email service never reach your browser, and the site holds no visitor accounts or passwords. Access to requests is limited to Michael and the people this policy names.
No website, email system or phone is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee the security of what you send. If a breach affects your personal information, we will tell you as California law requires.
Children
This site is meant for adults and is not directed to children. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, call (949) 402-3411 and we will delete it.
Your privacy rights
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (the CCPA), gives California residents the rights below against businesses that meet its thresholds, which turn on a business’s annual revenue and on how much personal information it buys, sells or shares. We offer the same rights, handled the same way, to anyone who asks, whether or not those thresholds reach Michael’s business.
- Know and access: what personal information we have about you, where it came from, why we collected it, who we disclosed it to and how long we keep it, and a copy of the information itself, in a portable format if you ask.
- Correct: information about you that is inaccurate.
- Delete: information we hold about you, except what the law requires or allows us to keep, such as transaction records.
- Opt out of sale or sharing: we don’t sell personal information or share it for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. If that ever changes, this policy will change first and you will be able to opt out.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information: we don’t ask for or use sensitive information, such as government ID or account numbers, precise location or health details, so this right has nothing to act on here.
- Equal treatment: we won’t deny you service, charge you more or treat you differently for using any of these rights.
California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code section 1798.83) also lets you ask whether a business has given your personal information to others for their own direct marketing. We don’t.
Making a request
Call (949) 402-3411, or write to Michael Hahn, c/o RealiFi Realty, Inc., 9171 Wilshire Boulevard, Suite 500, Beverly Hills, CA 90210. Tell us which right you want to use.
- Confirming it’s you: before acting, we match details you give us, such as your name and the email address or phone number you used, with what we hold. For a copy of specific information or a deletion, we may ask for one more detail. We use what you give us only to confirm who you are.
- Someone acting for you: an authorized agent can make a request with your signed permission. We may ask you to confirm your identity with us directly, unless the agent holds a power of attorney under California Probate Code sections 4000 to 4465.
- Timing: we confirm that we have your request within 10 business days and answer within 45 calendar days. If we need longer, up to 45 more days, we will tell you why before the first 45 days end.
- Cost: there is no charge. If requests are clearly unfounded or excessive, we may decline or charge a reasonable fee, and will explain why first.
- If we can’t do everything you ask, for example because the law requires us to keep a transaction record, we will tell you why.
If you disagree with our answer, call or write and ask us to reconsider. We will reply in writing within 45 days. You can also contact the California Privacy Protection Agency or the California Attorney General.
If you live in another state with a consumer privacy law, make your request the same way. We will handle it under these same steps and, where your state’s law applies, under that law, including any appeal it provides.
Personal information by category
This table sets out the personal information the site collects, in the categories California law uses. We don’t set out to collect sensitive personal information, and we don’t sell or share any of it.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a browser setting that asks websites not to sell or share your personal information. We honor it. This site doesn’t sell or share personal information, so today there is nothing for it to switch off; if that changes, a GPC signal will be treated as a request to opt out for that browser.
“Do Not Track” is an older browser setting with no agreed standard, and the site doesn’t change what it does when it receives one. Nothing on this site tracks you across other websites, and no other company can collect information here about your activity over time and across sites, except Google once you press play on a YouTube film (see Films from YouTube).
Other sites and social media
The site links to Michael’s pages on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube, and to other websites, such as the public sources cited in articles. A link is not an endorsement, and we don’t control those sites. Their own privacy policies apply once you are there.
If you contact Michael through a social media platform, the platform’s policy governs what it collects, and what you send Michael is handled under this policy.
Visitors outside the United States
This site is for people buying and selling property in Orange County, California, and it is run from the United States. If you use it from another country, your information is handled in the United States, under this policy and U.S. law.
Changes to this policy
This version takes effect on the “Last updated” date at the top of the page. When this policy changes, that date changes with it. If the site starts to collect anything new, or to use a new kind of service such as analytics, advertising tools, a client records system, AI chat or a texting platform, this page will be updated before that happens. Where the law requires more notice, or your consent, we will give it or ask for it.
